This is my current list of my favorite beers that I have reviewed. This list will change anytime I review a beer and I think it is worthy enough to make my list. Now some of these beers may not have gotten as high of reviews as others but I am not going to put on two beers from the same Brewery and I have also tried to mix up the styles. I decided that I am going to start adding explanations of why I rank these beers this way (In Progress).
10. Great Lakes Brewing Company Edmund Fitzgerald
Edmund Fitzgerald knocked Sudwerk off the list because I thought it was a little better tasting along with the fact that I like the little history lesson that each beer gives you.
9. Harpoon Munich Type Dark
I really like the stuff Harpoon puts out and this is probably my favorite.
8. Stouts Scarlet Lady
The Scarlet Lady is another very special beer from a PA brewery and the Lady is fine.
7. Blue Moon Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale
Had this up at Dorko's and was my first pumpkin ale and thought it was really good and has really opened me up to pumpkin ale.
6. Shocktop Lemon Shandy
I had picked up one of these in North Carolina and thought it was the best summer beer I had ever had. Just a great lemon balance and really crisp taste.
5. Magic Hat No. 9
After Troegs this has to be my next favorite brewery. They produce great beers and I haven't had one they I didn't like. They have a cool website and have cool names for their beers.
4. Troegs Double Bock Beer
I love the story of Troegs. Two guys working to perfect their craft and make great beer. This is just my favorite example of that. Although the scratch beer I had from Troegs was a close second.
3. Founders Oatmeal Stout
Now most would put this beer at the top of their list and I would probably too. It has a cool lable and it is probably the best beer I have had. That being said I have a more personal connection to the two beers that are ahead of it and that is why I placed it at three.
2. Youngs Double Chocolate Stout
Had two different people within 24 hours tell me how fantastic this stuff was and the cool thing about when the first person told me about I thought I had to have this beer and then the second person had already gotten it for me and when I awoke the next day it was in my house. It was almost like God wanted me to drink this so I would know how good it was.
1. Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale
Because its so great it has its own society. It is one of my home town beers. It taste great and has the most alcohol out of any Yuengling beer. Also when you add a lime to it it becomes a great summer drink.
I don't have the bottles for all these beers but I took a picture of what I had and substituted other beers from the breweries that I did have. I also have to take a new picture with Edmund Fitzgerald replacing Sudwerk and Sam Adams replacing New Holland.
