12/19/11 Christmas fun with Yuengling Premium Pounder

So last night was the best night ever. I went to trivia at Dorko's Cafe in Mount Carmel and had the best time. The RZA dominated at team trivia which was incredible. Also against all odds ( being picked last, last one to get called as having won baby food challenge, last one to successfully unwrap a present and eat its contents with oven mitts on, and then split the prize when having technical difficulties with the nerf gun) The Man Can Critic won the Christmas prize. I also decided to finally review my hometown brew, The Yuengling Premium Pounder. The temperature of the beer was decent at 37.5 degrees. The head was average at 3" with a frothy white appearance and excellent head lacing. The head dissipation was slow with medium carbonation and a sparkling clarity with straw color. The aroma and taste had a grain smell and taste. The flavor was light with a short finish and a watery mouth feel. The tongue hit was towards the back with excellent body lacing. Overall I would rate it at a B+ because it is a solid bar beer but not the best out of the Yuengling Family but still good for what it is. Thanks for reading and drink responsibly.
