1/30/12 Magic Hat No. 9

This review is in conjunction with my Corona review both of which were done at Dorko's Cafe in Mount Carmel. I had originally wanted to do this beer and that is why I did two reviews this day, Corona Extra and now Magic Hat No. 9. The temperature of the beer was near icy at 33.4 degrees with a small half inch head. The appearance of the head was a fizzy white that dissipated quickly and had excellent lacing. It had a normal clarity with a gold color and almost no carbonation. It had a honey like smell and sweet taste that reminded me of cough syrup that the more you drank it the better it tasted. The flavor was very light with an average finish and a dry mouth feel. The tongue hit was towards the back and overall I would say it was a very good beer that I would rate an A-. Thanks for reading and as always drink responsibly.

  1. I was an early adopter of all things MH as far back as about 1995 on a trip to VT to see the dead. #9 is too fruity for me now. i like wacko and blind faith.
